Spiritual Aid Program
This program is a mirror of the former Spiritual Aid Department that was established by Sri Darwin Gross in Eckankar prior to 1983. The program has been updated and tailored by Divine Spirit through the Office of the Mahanta to accommodate current circumstances as regards the group consciousness. What that means is that we now have a greater depth of services to offer the true chela whose spiritual desire is being evidenced in service to the Living Dhunami Master.My predecessors did not have the luxury of help in this area. The process can be quite time consuming in this world and many other more basic functions must be provided by the Living Dhunami Master inwardly and outwardly. And that is why we should all be very thankful for the presence of Sri Tamaria Alagonia, a Dhunami Master and Saint who has taken it upon herself to serve in the capacity of Vidya Consultant. She continues to study with Sri Fubbi Quantz in this area of work and has become adept in its function and operation. Sri Tammy will do more to advance the Dhunami teachings in this world by providing the great balance necessary to assist many, many chelas and aspirants as they travel the middle path that is the Dhunami Way of Life.________________________
The Annual Yardstick
Sri Paul Twitchell often wrote about the Spiritual Yardstick; the devices and indications by which the individual can determine where one is dwelling in a state of consciousness, or what level of the inner worlds that individual has open to them. This Spiritual Yardstick is a valuable tool for the individual Dhuni in understanding one’s level of awareness and responsibility. However, this Spiritual Yardstick only goes so far as to tell the individual where he or she is currently dwelling, and nothing else. For this reason it has been determined that an optional program will be provided for the Discourse Subscriber in Dhunami. This program, called the Spiritual Yardstick Program will serve the chela in many ways, should he or she wish to partake of it. It will affirm for the chela what level of awareness one is dwelling in, or has open to them. It will also discuss for the individual the responsibilities that come with this level of awareness or initiation. In addition, it will provide details as to what issues the chela must work out to continue forward with his or her individual spiritual growth. The threefold purpose of this yearly spiritual program is most beneficial to the individual who desires continued spiritual growth and development with the help of the Living Dhunami Master and Divine Spirit. This program is not intended to act as an alternative to one’s own inner experiences, for the Dhuni always finds Truth at the temple within. A small one-page description will be sent to you containing all the appropriate information about your current state of awareness, the best ways of fulfilling your responsibilities to Sugmad and Divine Spirit, and information about possible pitfalls in gaining the next level of awareness. The Vidya Consultation
Each individual Dhuni has the tools and the unique ability to go to the temple within and have an inner experience concerning just about anything: how the pyramids were built, what the future may present, and how to reach that next step of spiritual awareness. Yet, many of us either aren’t getting the answers we desire about taking that next step in awareness, or are still unclear about the answers we have received. This is because the individual must be neither for nor against something to get an answer about it at the temple within. This has been talked about as ‘non-resistance,' being open to whatever may flow through or be presented. This is very difficult to do about oneself, and this is exactly the area in which it must be done in order for the individual to understand what may be holding back further spiritual growth. For this purpose, the discourse subscribing Dhuna will have the opportunity to request a Vidya Consultation from the Dhunami Office. This is essentially a spiritual consultation and a Vidya session combined, with the focus on the individual’s spiritual growth and development. Each body that the individual has (physical, astral, causal, mental), is examined and it is determined what may be within those bodies that can be recognized, dealt with, and cast aside to promote spiritual growth and balance. The consultation will be done in person and will be no more than two hours in length. The individual will also receive special instructions and techniques for one’s spiritual growth, and will be able to ask questions once the consultation is complete. This program will not replace the individual’s daily spiritual exercise, nor will it provide any information the individual hasn’t already earned through service and devotion to Divine Dhunami Spirit and the Sugmad. It will, however, reveal to the individual that which the individual has earned, yet is unable to receive due to some inner block within the individual. Because of this fact, while everyone is welcomed to request a Vidya Consultation, not all individuals will be immediately scheduled for one. It is of course based on the individual’s willingness and desire to understand what may be blocking further spiritual growth, and what the individual has earned through good karma and service to Divine Spirit. The Living Example
The Living Dhunami Master serves many roles for each individual chela; he serves as the transformer for greater vibrations of Divine Spirit to reach the chela, as a guide and way-shower, as the representation of Sugmad on earth, as a ‘real’ thing to which one can surrender (even though this is in reality surrendering to the Divine Spirit and Sugmad), and as a living example of what the individual chela in Dhunami can reach. It is this last role of the Living Dhunami Master that has often been overlooked and understated. Each of us as individuals strive for spiritual growth and awareness, yet the Living Dhunami Master has already attained a great deal of that which we seek for ourselves. In listening to the Living Dhunami Master, reading his words, and forming ourselves to match his actions, words, thoughts, and feelings we evolve our own state of consciousness to reach spiritual heights of awareness.Yet for many, simply reading his words is barely enough to understand the Living Dhunami Master’s state of awareness, and it certainly doesn’t give them a good example of what it is to live as the Living Dhunami Master, or rather, from that state of consciousness. A new spiritual program will now be made available to all discourse subscribers in Dhunami called 'The Living Example Program.' In this program an individual is invited to come to the Living Dhunami Master’s home and stay for a period of a few days to a week, depending on each individual’s personal situation and spiritual growth. During this time the individual Dhuni will experience how the Living Dhunami Master has evolved himself to live the spiritual way of Dhunami constantly, and how the individual can amend or change small aspects of him or herself to fully integrate the spiritual way of life into one’s reality. By spending time with the Living Dhunami Master, the individual will experience how the writings of the Dhunami Masters come to life in the consciousness of oneself and take hold, forming the outer reality that is beneficial for all and that is the will of the Sugmad. It allows the individual to experience the humility and great service that the Living Dhunami Master gives to Divine Spirit and the chelas, and helps the individual to expand that humility and service within oneself. Not all requests to participate in this program can be granted immediately, but if the individual continues with the spiritual exercises and contemplation of Dhunami, more and more opportunities will be presented to the individual for spiritual growth and development.
